The Japan Challenge Tour is a series of developmental golf tournaments run by the Japan Golf Tour Organisation. It has been in operation since 1985. The 2010 schedule will feature 11 tournaments, with 10 Million Yen in the prize fund for each tournament, except for the Novil Cup and the Shizu Hills Tommy Cup which will feature 15 Million Yen This is around a tenth of the level of prize money per event on offer on the main Japanese Tour, and the main tour also has a longer season.
The 2011 schedule is set out below. The numbers in brackets after winners' names show the player's total number of wins on the Challenge Tour including that event. It is rare for someone to accumulate many wins on the Challenge Tour because success at this level soon leads to promotion to the Japan Golf Tour.
