Jonathan Watson is a Scottish comedian and impressionist best known for his comedy sketch show Only an Excuse?, which parodies people and events from the world of Scottish football. Watson also regularly appeared on Tam Cowan's Offside television programme on BBC One Scotland where he performed a scaled-down version of Only an Excuse? called "Only a Wee Excuse". Watson trained at a drama school in Glasgow.

Watson has also turned his hand to political satire with his Watson's Wind Up show which was recorded on Fridays at the Glasgow Film Theatre and broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland; the popularity of this led to Watson performing satires of Scottish politicians such as Cathy Jamieson, George Galloway and Charles Kennedy on Offside.

Watson also does occasional work as an actor. He was a cast member of all 5 Naked Video series and also appeared in BBC Scotland sitcom City Lights.Other credits include 'Jonathan' in the film Local Hero, an episode of BBC1's Casualty in 2001 as 'Billy Shears' and also an episode of ITV1's The Billin 2005 as 'Rev. Lewis'.
