Dr. K.P. Yohannan is the founder and president of
Gospel for Asia, a Christian organization based in
Carrollton,
Texas, and the Metropolitan of
Believers Church.
Early life
K.P. Yohannan was born and reared in a St. Thomas Syrian Christian family in Kerala, India,. When he was a boy, his mother fasted and prayed each week for God to call one of her six boys to full-time ministry. After years of praying, her youngest son, K.P., surrendered his ambitions to the Lord. He was 16 when he joined Operation Mobilization, an evangelical missions agency, and served with them for eight years on the Indian subcontinent. While serving with Operation Mobilization, he met Gisela, who would eventually become his wife. ,

Education
K.P. Yohannan went to the United States for this theological studies at Criswell College in Dallas, Texas. He graduated with a B.A. in Biblical Studies, becoming the school’s first international student to graduate. He was also conferred an honorary degree of divinity by Hindustan Bible College in Chennai, India.
