Kaveripattinam (Dharmapuri)

<!-- See WikiProject Indian cities for details -->Kaveripattinam is a panchayat town in Krishnagiri district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is approximately 100&nbsp;km from Bangalore. The town is very green because of the KRP Dam nearby. Kaveripattinam is famous for its cultivation of mangoes. There are lot of mango pulp industries, milk processing units and small scale industries.

Kaveripattinam has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 67%. In Kaveripattinam, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Now Kaveripattinam comes under Krishnagiri District, a newly carved out district from Dharmapuri.

A beautiful river called as 'South Pennar' passes through Kaveripattinam which adds more glory and greenish to this tiny town.

Festivals like Maha Shivaraathiri, Pongal are very famous in this area.

The people are highly cultured and polite with everyone.Kaveripattinam owns the districts biggest Boys Higher Secondary School.There are about 15 match industries in this town.

Now in this small town there are about 20 jewellery shops. most of them are new jewellery shops.
