, short for Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical is an entrance examination
series for admissions to various professional degree courses in the state of Kerala, India
. It is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Exams run by the Government of Kerala.
Dissimilarity of KEAM with other entrance Tests
is probably the only entrance test series in India that is conducted by a State Government directly. In all other states, entrance examinations are conducted by a state run university. This is because in Kerala, there are various state run universities.
The KEAM 2006 was scheduled to be held from the 24th through the 29th of April 2006. But, owing to general elections in the state of Kerala, it has been postponed and is now rescheduled to be held from the 15th through the 21st of May 2006.
According to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, the examinations will be held at 182 schools across Kerala
as well as at the Kerala Education Society Senior Secondary School in New Delhi
and at the Indian High School, Dubai
