Kim Carson, aka
Sherie Weil her given name, is an
American radio personality.
She was born in
Detroit, Michigan and graduated from
Denby High School.
Kim was the first full time female air personality at a number of stations she worked at including 93FM
WDRQ/Detroit. Kim was also awarded "Best Nighttime Radio Personality" in Detroit, and was named the 1st Place winner in the Detroit Celebrity Grand Prix. After her stint at
WDRQ Kim moved on to
WCZY-FM,(Detroit), now
WKQI. Once again the first full-time female radio host hired by
Gannett. It is important because back in the day most radio station employed only men's voices on the air.
Kim has worked at radio stations in Detroit including
WCSX ,
WYCD, WDTX,
WDFX and
WOW-FM. She has also worked at
WKVQ, Knoxville, TN, where she also enjoyed a stint as a weekend "weather girl" at
WBIR television station,
WROK, Rockford, IL,

WMAG, Greensboro, NC and

WRVF (host of the nighttime love-songs show, "The Quiet Storm"), and

Kim Carson is the author of
Essence of Life: A Compilation Of Inspiration and Poem. She is currently living in
Grand Rapids, Michigan and does Middays, 10am-3pm at 100.5 The River
WTRV. She also does a specialty show Sunday's, 9-11am EST and it repeats again 7-9pm EST called Faith Hope And Love Songs. It is an inspirational show that can be heard globally on the stream at
WTRV Radio Station..
