Košarkaški klub Partizan (
Serbian Cyrillic: Кошаркашки клуб Партизан, ) is a
Serbian professional
basketball club.
It is part of the multi-sports
Belgrade-based club
Partizan. The club competes in the
Serbian League,
Adriatic League and the
Euroleague.
KK Partizan is the most successful basketball club in Serbia. During its more than six decades long history, Partizan has won as many as 39 trophies.
KK Partizan is the defending
Serbian basketball champion and the holder of 18 national champion titles, of which the last ten were won consecutively. They have also won 12 national basketball cups and five consecutive
Adriatic Leagues - in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
The most significant trophy the club has won is the European Champion trophy at the Final Four of the
Euroleague in Istanbul in 1992. KK Partizan was the
European champion in 1992 with curiosity of winning the title, although playing all but one of the games (crucial quarter-final game vs.
Knorr) on foreign grounds (in
Madrid suburb
Fuenlabrada);
FIBA decided not to allow teams from the
former Yugoslavia to play their home games at their home venues, because of open hostilities in the region. Same year club took national championship and cup, and won
Triple Crown. KK Partizan was not allowed to defend the Euroleague title in the 1992–93 season, because of
