Kosi Kalan is a beautiful town situated in BrijBhoomi. Town was named Kosi for being treasury of NandBaba (as Kosh means Treasure). This small town is a hub of cultural and commercial activities.The town is situated on the Delhi-Agra highway(NH-2)at 100 km milestone. The town is equally famous for its varied culture (since it is situated at tri-junction of UP, Rajasthan and Haryana) as for its industrial development.

India census, Kosi Kalan had a population of 45,684. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Kosi Kalan has an average literacy rate of 51%, lower than the national average of 65%: male literacy is 59%, and female literacy is 41%. In Kosi Kalan, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age. But literacy rate has increased among the age group of 0-30 years in the last decade and every 3rd person in this group is either intermediate or a graduate.
