Kyle Marshall Pontifex (born February 5, 1980 in Wellington) is a field hockey goalkeeper from New Zealand, who earned his first cap for the national team, nicknamedThe Black Sticks, in 2001 against Malaysia. He's spent a number of years as understudy to first choice Paul Woolford. His good form at the 2005 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup saw him earn the top spot for the bronze medal match, highlighting his ongoing development.
Pontifex represented his native country at two Summer Olympics: in 2004 in Athens and 2008 in Beijing.
