The school has also been redesigned inside by creating the new Business and Enterprising Area and new Boys Toilets. The school is smaller than average.

Lakers School is a school equipped with learning features like data projectors in every room. The school has several buildings like the Main Block, Ten Block, Hopewell and the new Sports Hall. As it sits on the same campus as RFDC and the Forest of Dean Gymnastic Centre, it has very good sport links.
