Dr. Laurence (Larry) Benz is the President/CEO of PT Development LLC, a
private equity firm with operating holdings in
physical therapy,
practice management consulting and
medical education,
occupational health, urgent medical care, and medical trustee and receivership.
Qualifications
Dr. Benz received a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from
Baylor University, a Masters in Business Administration from
Ohio State University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions.
Professional achievements
From 1987 to September 2007, Dr. Benz founded and served as President/CEO of Kentucky Orthopedic Rehab Team (KORT), a private practice outpatient physical therapy company. From 1984 through 1989, he served in the
U.S. Army as a Captain in the Army Medical Specialists Corps. Dr. Benz currently serves as director of the
charitable organization Neighborhood Engagement and is a Trustee for the Foundation of Physical Therapy http://foundation4pt.org/, and Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions http://www.rmuohp.edu/. He was appointed as a director of
Blue Dolphin Energy Company in 2004.
