List of Dynasty Warriors characters

There have been 48 playable characters in the Dynasty Warriors series as of the release of Dynasty Warriors 5; however, Dynasty Warriors 7 is has over 60 playable characters. Most of the characters were real figures from the Three Kingdoms era of Chinese history, although some possibly fictional characters from the classic novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms were also included in the roster, such as Diao Chan and Zuo Ci. Minor female characters from history have been placed on the battlefield by Koei, although aside from the possibly fictional Zhu Rong from the novel, they never fought in any of the battles. The list indicates Chinese names / Japanese (original version) names / Chinese or Japanese characters.

Playable character table

• Guo Jia is not playable in Dynasty Warriors 7, but will be added in Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends.
• Meng Huo does not appear in Dynasty Warriors 6, but later he was added back in Empires.
• Pang De and Wang Yi are not appear in Dynasty Warriors 7, but will be added in Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends.

Shu / Shoku / 蜀

Bao Sanniang / Hou Sanjou / 鮑三娘

Bao Sanniang is a new character appearing in Dynasty Warriors 7. She is the wife of Guan Yu's third son, Guan Suo. Her main weapon is a bladed yo-yo.
