Description:
Lithuania proper (; , literally: "Genuine Lithuania"; , Lite) refers to a region which existed within Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and spoke Lithuanian language. Lithuania proper sometimes is also called Lithuania Major (), particularly in contrast with Lithuania Minor.
