Magaluf (; also spelled
Magalluf, ) is a major holiday resort on the
Spanish island of
Majorca, primarily catering for the British and Scandinavian
package holiday market. Magaluf is in the
municipality of
Calvià and is situated within a group of towns, primarily Torrenova and
Palma Nova. The
main airport of Majorca is approximately away from Magaluf.

Orup sang about the resort in 1992 in the song "Magaluf". English

Resort
The resort comprises three main beaches, popular for their white sand: Majorca Beach, Magaluf Beach and Palma Nova Beach. These beaches are lined with small bars and tourist shops backed by hotels. The largest tour companies include
Thomas Cook and
Thomson. The resort caters for both young parties as well as families, with peak season during July and August. The winter season (November through March) sees the population of Magaluf dive to 4.355 local residents, with most, if not all, resort and package-based hotels closing their doors. Neighbouring Palma Nova is more popular with families. This resort is wellknown for its 18-30's holidays.
