Mark Daniel Ronson (born 4 September 1975) is a British DJ, guitarist, music producer, artist and co-founder of
Allido Records. He currently works with his band under the music alias of
Mark Ronson & The Business Intl.While his debut album
Here Comes the Fuzz failed to make an impact on the charts, his second album,
Version included three top ten hits and won Ronson a
BRIT Award for
Best Male Artist 2008. His third studio album,
Record Collection, was released on 27 September 2010.
Early life
Ronson was born at the
Wellington Hospital,
St John's Wood, to writer/socialite Ann Dexter-Jones and one-time band manager and real estate entrepreneur Laurence Ronson.are of
Ashkenazi Jewish descent, with ancestors from Austria, Russia, and Lithuania, and Ronson was brought up in
Conservative Judaism. Ronson's family name was originally
Aaronson but his grandfather Henry Ronson changed it to Ronson. Ronson is the nephew of property tycoon
Gerald Ronson. Ronson is related to British
Conservative politicians
