Matai Smith (born 2 May 1977 in Gisborne, New Zealand), is a Māori television presenter on the Māori Television, TV3 and TVNZ networks. He currently co-host the children's show Pukana, an educational/variety show in the Māori language, hosts the show Whanau, a drama series that teaches the Maori language, and presents the weekly Maori language lesson on Good Morning and currently present Korero Mai with Gabriella Piringatai.

He is of Rongowhakaata, Ngai Taamanuhiri and Ngāti Kahungunu descent.

He has won the Best Reo Māori Television Presenter (Male) at the Māori Media Awards.
