Michel Vorm (; born October 20, 1983 in
Nieuwegein) is a
Dutch football goalkeeper, currently playing for
FC Utrecht. He spent some time on loan at
FC Den Bosch.
Club career
FC Den Bosch
To get more experienced Vorm went for one season to
FC Den Bosch on a loan.He made his debut on August 12, 2005 in the lost game against
FC Emmen.That season he played 35 matches for FC Den Bosch.
FC Utrecht
On August 19, 2006 Vorm made his debut for FC Utrecht in the lost game against
Willem II. That season Vorm played 33 out of 34 games.
International career
In
2006 he was a member of the
Netherlands squad that won the
UEFA U-21 Championship 2006 in
Portugal.
As of 2008, Vorm is a member of the Dutch National Team. He made his debut in the starting lineup on September 5, 2009 in a friendly home match against
Japan (3–0 win), followed up four days later by an impressive performance at
Hampden Park during the
World Cup qualifier Scotland – Netherlands, a match won by the Netherlands with 0-1.
The match at Hampden Park was Vorm's first competitive game ever outside the Netherlands.
