The Minister of State, who had special responsibility for Labour Affairs, was officially styled Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (with special responsibility for Labour Affairs), and was a junior ministerial post in the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment of the Government of Ireland. The Minister worked together with the senior Minister in this department and had special responsibility for all labour affairs. The Minister of State did not hold cabinet rank.
The position was abolished in March 2011.
