Focusing on live news coverage, MSNBC Live consists of the network's primary rolling-news programming. Featuring news, the program also consists of guest analysis and interviews around the stories of the day, in addition to feature-like stories, in-depth special reports, and The Weather Channel forecasts.
The program is commonly interrupted with breaking news, breaking into live programming for a number of minutes for the latest information on a story being followed.
Broadcast weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET, the program also features short bottom of the hour news breaks, which are replaced with CNBC Market Updates during weekday programming.
The weekday 6 p.m. hour, hosted by Al Sharpton, is also branded as MSNBC Live.
