Nicholas Asselta (born August 17, 1951) is an
American Republican Party politician, who served in the
New Jersey State Senate from 2004 to 2008, where he represented the
1st Legislative District. In the Senate, Asselta was a member of the Budget and Appropriations Committee, the Community and Urban Affairs Committee, the Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens Committee and the State Government Committee.,

On November 6, 2007, Asselta lost his re-election bid, having been ousted by

Before entering the Senate, Asselta served in the
lower house, the

Vineland Public Schools Board of Education from 1993 to 1996, the
Vineland Planning Board from 1992 to 1993, and the Vineland Environmental Commission 1992 to 1993.
