Demographics
India census, Nokha had a population of 22,338. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Nokha has an average literacy rate of 53%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 64%, and female literacy is 42%. In Nokha, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Economy
Nokha is renowned for the numerous rice mills it has. This makes Nokha the center of rice production in Bihar. Although, the number of rice mills has been decreasing over the years, it still is the main driving force for Nokha's economy.
