Oliver Fartach-Naini (born 1964) is a German guitarist living in Australia where he teaches at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide.


Oliver Fartach-Naini performs as a soloist, with orchestral accompaniment, in duo with Korean guitarist Professor Lee Song-Ou, German flautist Thea Nielsen and as a member of the quintet "Tango Concertante".

As a founding member of the quartet ‘Didar’ he recorded the CD „Didar – Live in Berlin“, featuring Majid Derakhshani (Composition, Tar, Voice), Thea Nielsen (Flute), Amir Abbas Zare (Daf) and Oliver on guitar.

To date he has released 7 CDs with 5 different chamber music formations for the German Labels Deutsche Grammophon, Kreuzberg Records and Acoustic Music Records.

The German publisher “Edition Margaux” honors Oliver with the “Collection Oliver Fartach-Naini” which is a selection of the numerous pieces composers from all over the world have dedicated to Oliver and his ensembles.

Oliver Fartach-Naini endorses strings of New York String Manufacturer “La Bella”.

As a student of American guitarist and composer Laurie Randolph Oliver Fartach-Naini holds degrees from the "University of the Arts Berlin" (Instrumental Studies) and the Academy of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig (Music Performance).
