Description:
Many of the food items that define modern Indian and particularly North Indian cooking have origins inside the Indian subcontinent. At the same time, many foods that are now commonplace are based on fruits and vegetables that originated outside the Indian subcontinent. Generically, food from the northern Indian subcontinent may also extend to modern-day Pakistani cuisine.
