Geography

Pampore is located at . It has an average elevation of 1,574&nbsp;metres (5,164&nbsp;feet). The town is situated on the eastern bank of Veth also known as Jehlum (in Urdu).

Demographics

Pampore has an average literacy rate of 59%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 49%.
