Paul Harris Boardman is an American film producer and screenwriter, best known as the co-writer and producer of
The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005). He also co-wrote the screenplays for
Inferno (2000) and
Final Cut (2000), and worked on production rewrites of
Dracula 2000,
The Messengers, and "
Scream 4". Paul recently produced
The Day the Earth Stood Still for Fox, and he is currently co-writing and producing
Devil's Knot, based on the book by Mara Leveritt. In addition, Paul is co-writing "The Substitute" for producer Sam Raimi, Mandate, and Columbia Pictures, and he is co-writing and producing suspense thriller "The Living" for Lakeshore Entertainment. In addition to these produced credits, Paul has written other screenplays for TriStar, Disney, Bruckheimer Films, IEG, APG, Lakeshore, Screen Gems, Universal, and MGM.
Paul Boardman grew up in the Appalachian region of Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from
Sewanee with honors degrees in English literature and psychology. He earned an M.A. in creative writing from
Johns Hopkins University, and also studied at
St John's College, Oxford and the
University of Southern California film school.
