Peguero Jean Philippe (born September 29, 1981 in
Port-de-Paix) is a
Haitian professional
football who currently plays for
Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the
North American Soccer League.
Career
Club
Peguero started with Haitian club
Don Bosco FC, with whom he won the 2003
Ligue Haïtienne, and was named MVP and received the Golden Boot Award with 11 goals. He moved to the
American Major League Soccer in March 2004 to play for the
Colorado Rapids. Peguero finished his first season with the Rapids with seven goals and four assists in only 18 games. In his second season, he scored seven goals and had six assists before the Rapids traded Peguero to
Red Bull New York in April 2006 for
Thiago Martins. Peguero scored six goals in 12 games for Red Bull New York, in addition to two goals in a
friendly match against
German team
Bayern Munich.
In July 2006, he was transferred to
Danish Superliga club
Brøndby IF. On August 5, 2006, Peguero scored a goal in his debut for Brøndby; the third goal in a 3-0 win over
AC Horsens. In his third league game for Brøndby, against
Viborg FF on August 20, Peguero ruptured the
anterior cruciate ligament and
