Peng Xiuwen (彭修文; pinyin: Péng Xiūwén; b. Hubei, China, February 7, 1931; d. Beijing, China, December 1996) was a noted Chinese conductor and composer. He was a native of Wuhan, in the Hubei province of central China.
Xiuwen learned to play the erhu beginning at age seven. He also directed the China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra (中国广播民族乐团), a large orchestra of Chinese traditional (and modernized traditional) instruments, which was based in Beijing.
