"

The Smashing Pumpkins. It was the second
single from their fourth album,
Adore (1998).
Promotion and reception
The band performed the song once on
Saturday Night Live, introduced by
Cameron Diaz. The single contains numerous remixes of the song, including one by
Nellee Hooper. The song was also remixed by
Puff Daddy.
The song was performed on "Live With Regis and Kathie Lee," during which the Pumpkins were excused from the show's usual policy of limiting musical numbers to two minutes.
Due to the lackluster performance of "Perfect" and
Adore, no more official singles were released from the album, though "
Crestfallen" and "
To Sheila" were released on a promotional basis.
