Persib, an acronym for Persatuan Sepak Bola Indonesia Bandung is an Indonesian football club based in Bandung, West Java. In most of the media, a tautology Persib Bandung is often used. Persib is the result of a merger of 3 football clubs in 1933, namely Bandoeng Inlandsche Voetbal Bond (BIVB), Persatuan Sepak bola Indonesia Bandung (PSIB) and National Voetball Bond (NVB).

Referring to the number of title in a long history of Indonesian football competition, Persib is considered as one of the most successful clubs in Indonesia.


Persib's home base is Siliwangi Stadium. Persib new home base, Gedebage Stadium is still under construction which is scheduled to finish in 2011. To comply with the stadium and pitch standard as defined by the league's board, Persib is using Si Jalak Harupat Stadium as their home stadium in the Super League before the completion of their new stadium.

Training ground

Persib uses SOR Persib Bandung as training ground.


One of the most memorable achievements in the history of this club is when they became champions of the last Perserikatan competition in the 1993/1994 season. In the final, the club with legendary players such as Sutiono Lamso and Robby Darwis won against PSM Makassar. Afterward, Galatama and Perserikatan (Perserikatan were merged into Liga Indonesia, a newly formed competition. In the first season of Liga Indonesia, Persib won the first title after defeated Petrokimia Putra Gresik in the final.
