What you want to do are some squats plus raising your calves while you are standing there and cleaning. As you stand at the sink do calf raises, and then when you go to put things in the racks-especially the lower racks-do a squat. You go back and forth doing this and that, and that is when you can inject one or two reps of something. These things are very fast and will not take away from your day.
If you want to think about something really creative, then check out what laughing can do for you. What this will do is combine with everything else you do and play its part in your healthy life. You will experience a similar kind of natural high that comes from exercising.
Frequent laughter over a short period such as an hour or so will produce these positive effects. Seriously, you should do this as much as you have time to do, and just work to elevate your mood and have a good time.
One thing that can work for you is getting into the habit of running around in your normal activities. Race yourself from the car or bus to your destination (this works better if you park your car at the back of a parking lot). Of course if you need to dress up and look nice, then this will not work out so well. If you have not done any running in a while, then definitely see your physician about it. Keep track of your speed and try to save a few seconds off of it every time you race.
There are so many fun and creative ways to work out, why settle for the boring old routine that is sold to you at your local fitness gym? On the other hand, you can have a combination of new and the old, and that could make it all even more interesting. Just be sure you start moving more and then slowly take it from there.
