Qin Qi is a fictional character in Luo Guanzhong's historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. He was a subordinate of Xiahou Dun, a general serving under the warlord Cao Cao. Qin was in charge of guarding a ferry point on the southern bank of the Yellow River. When Guan Yu left Cao Cao and journeyed northward to reunite with Liu Bei, he crossed four passes and slew five generals before reaching the ferry point. Qin refused to allow Guan to cross the river and was slain by Guan in anger. Qin's uncle, Cai Yang (蔡陽), later pursued Guan and attempted to avenge his nephew, but was slain by Guan as well.
