Raja Tridiv Roy (born 14 May 1933) is a former
Raja of the
Chakma tribe in the
Chittagong Hill Tracts region of
Bangladesh who chose to remain a Pakistani when Bangladesh was created in 1971. He is also a
writer, religious leader and
politician in Pakistan.
Family
His son,
Raja Debashish Roy is the current ruler of the Chakma people.
Career
Before 1971
Raja Tridiv Roy is a former
Chakma king who has served as a minister in
Government of Pakistan. He sided with
Pakistan in 1971 Liberation war. Even after the independence of
Bangladesh, he remained in Pakistan.
After 1971
Roy lives in

ambassador to
Argentina. The
High Commissioner of
Sri Lanka, General Srilal Weerasooriya, on behalf of the President, had conferred the emblems of the

Roy leads the
Buddhist community of the country, the
