Ranvir Singh (born in Preston, Lancashire) is an English news presenter and reporter for the regional BBC news programme, BBC North West Tonight.


Singh attended Kirkham Grammar School in Kirkham, Lancashire. She is a Sikh, and practices the religion. After finishing a degree in English and Philosophy at Lancaster University she then gained a postgraduate qualification in journalism at the school of Journalism, Media and Communication, University of Central Lancashire in Preston. She joined BBC Radio Lancashire in 2002 initially on work experience and she was then given a six month contract. She then moved to BBC GMR, covering the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

She joined the BBC North West Tonight team in 2005, as a journalist and bulletin presenter. Her first national presenting job came in April 2006 when she co-presented a play on Good Friday, Manchester Passion, which retold the last hours of Jesus Christ.

On 10 September 2007 she joined long term presenter, Gordon Burns as the main female anchor on BBC North West Tonight. She also presents the late night bulletin, which she alternates with Annabel Tiffin.
