Bachateo is a musical movement in the Dominican Republic which combines bachata melodies and reggaeton style beats, lyrics, rapping, and disc jockeying. It is a subgenre of reggaeton and bachata. La Fabrica is said to be the pioneers of this musical movement, along with Krisspy and Grupo Aguakate. Many different reggaetoneros and groups around Latin America have experimented with this style, including Ingco Crew, Don Omar on "Pobre Diabla" and "Dile", Daddy Yankee on "Lo Que Paso Paso", Mojiganga, Michalle Pie, Grupo Mania or Andy Andy. One of the most famous songs is "Ven Bailalo" from Khriz y Angel. There are also groups in Honduras, Ecuador and Colombia that perform bachateo. This subgenre of reggaeton and bachata shouldn't be confused with hip hop & R&B-influenced bachata which is combined and fused with R&B to make bachata urbana like in groups as Toby Love, Aventura, Xtreme and Marcy Place.
