Edgbaston
,
Birmingham
— March 13, 1918) was a
field hockey
player, who won the gold medal with the
England
team at the
1908 Summer Olympics
in
London
.
Pridmore was also a
cricketer
, and played first-class cricket as a right-hand batsman for
Warwickshire
.
Pridmore was killed in action during the
First World War
, serving as a major with the
Royal Field Artillery
near the
Piave River
in Italy. He was buried at the
Giavera British Cemetery
nearby.,
