Robin Pinto (born May 25, 1961 in
Penticton,
British Columbia,
Canada) is a former
female boxer who fought professionally from 2001 to 2002.
Boxing career
Pinto fought some of female boxing's top fighters and contenders in her short career. She began boxing at the age of 40 with no previous amateur experience. Her first fight was on April 7, 2001, was against
Yvonne Caples in
Rochester, Washington. She was defeated in a four round decision.
In
Phoenix, Arizona on September 25, 2001, she beat
Brandy Leon in a four round unanimous decision for her first victory.
On March 30, 2002, in only her third bout, Pinto faced a women's boxing world champion. She lost to
Para Draine by a four round decision in
Tacoma, Washington. Pinto then lost to
Marilyn Salcido in a four round decision in
Laughlin, Nevada, on April 21.
In
Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 27, she won a four round decision against
Nicole Salazar, who was making her professional boxing debut that night.
Pinto retired from boxing after a four round draw in
Cornwall, Ontario against
Heather Stevens. Her last career fight was her first fight in her home country.
Pinto retired from boxing with two wins, three losses, and one draw, without any knockout wins or losses.
