Rose Marie Heck (August 4, 1932), commonly known as
Rose Heck among residents, is an
American Republican Party politician, who is currently the mayor of
Hasbrouck Heights,
New Jersey. Heck also served in the
New Jersey General Assembly, where she represented the
38th legislative district from 1991 to 2003. Heck represented a district which covers an area between the
Passaic and
Hudson Rivers in suburban
Bergen County. In the 2003 general election, Heck lost to
Joseph Coniglio, the

Heck had been elected in 1991 to fill the assembly seat vacated by
Pat Schuber stepped down to serve as
County Executive of
Bergen County.
In the Assembly, Heck served as Majority Conference Leader from 2000-01 and Policy and Regulatory Oversight Chair from 1996-99. She served in the Assembly on the Appropriations Committee, the Family, Women & Children's Services Committee and the Joint Committee on the Public Schools.,
