Sacred Heart Academy is an all-girls' preparatory school located on Cathedral Avenue, in Hempstead, New York, United States. It is private and Catholic. Located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre, it is run by the Sisters of Saint Joseph. Sacred Heart Academy is a single-sex school for girls, grades 9 to 12. The official school colors of Sacred Heart are red and gold.

Uniform

The school uniform is a white blouse, maroon or blue blazer, a just above the knee length skirt, school-issued maroon or navy socks, and either oxfords or penny loafers. The skirt colour varies depending on which year the student is in.

A student is required to wear her blazer or school-issued sweater when in the hall, but may take it off during classes. There is also a vest made of the same material as the blazer, bearing the school emblem.From on November 1 through April 1 each year, students are allowed to wear white shirts underneath their blouses.
