Sally Dynevor (née Whittaker) (previously credited as Sally Whittaker) (born 30 May 1963) is an English soap opera actress.

Early life and career

Dynevor was born in Middleton, Lancashire, to Robert and Jennifer Whittaker. She has made a career out of playing Sally Webster (née Seddon), a bad girl turned tame, on the soap opera Coronation Street. She debuted on the serial in January 1986 and has been with the programme ever since. Dynevor had previously trained at Oldham Repertory Theatre and then the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, and in 1985 appeared in an episode of the television series Juliet Bravo, playing the problem teenager Wendy Cunningham.

Personal life

At the end of 2009, Dynevor's character was told she had breast cancer. In November 2009, the actress was diagnosed with the same disease, for which she has had chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
