Jorge Sammir Cruz Campos (born 23 April 1987) commonly known simply as Sammir, is a Brazilian-born Croatian professional footballer who currently plays for Dinamo Zagreb, wearing the number 10 shirt. He previously played for Brazilian club Atlético Paranaense. He joined Dinamo Zagreb on 6 November 2006 and has since then made 188 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 42 goals. Sammir has recently expressed his desire to play for the Croatia national football team.

Club career

Sammir started his senior football career at Brazilian team Atlético Paranaense. He failed to make any appearances for the Brazilian club and was loaned out to various other teams from around his native country before moving to Europe to join Croatian reigning champions Dinamo Zagreb. He moved to his new club on 6 November 2006 on a loan which would last until the end of the 2006–07 season. Sammir made his first official appearance for Dinamo Zagreb on 17 March 2007 in a league match against Rijeka. By the end of the season, Sammir had made eleven league appearances for the club and scored against Slaven Belupo. He also made four appearances in the 2006–07 Croatian Cup.
