Sanjeev Sanyal is an Indian economist, environmentalist and urban theorist. He is Deutsche Bank's Global Strategist and was named "Young Global Leader 2010" by the World Economic Forum. He played an important role in changing the image of India as an international investment destination and is the author of the bestselling book "The Indian Renaissance: India's Rise after a Thousand Years of Decline" (published by Penguin).
Sanjeev Sanyal has worked in financial markets since the mid-nineties and was name a "Young Turk" by CNBC in 2007. He is also a well regarded environmentalist and expert on the economics of cities.
