The Sātavāhana Empire (Telugu: శాతవాహన సామ్రాజ్యము, Maharashtri: सातवाहन) or Andhra Empire, was a royal Indian dynasty based from Kotilingala, It is used to be first capital of shatavahanas near Velgatoor, Karimnagar district. It is located on the bank of the Godavari River, Kotilingala is a Shiva temple in India, near Velgatoor, Karimnagar district.
