Scott ("Scotty") Avery Boman (born April 14, 1962) has been one of Michigan’s most visible for) Libertarian politicians since the late 1990s. Boman was the 2006 running mate of gubernatorial candidate Gregory Creswell in the 2006 Michigan gubernatorial election, and has been a candidate in every state-wide partisan election since 1994 when he ran for State Representative in the 7th district. Also, he became the second Libertarian to be endorsed by The Detroit News, when he competed in the 1997 Detroit City Council general election.
