Seton Hall University School of Law (also known as
Seton Hall Law) is part of
Seton Hall University, and is located in downtown
Newark. Seton Hall Law School is one of three law schools in New Jersey. Founded in 1951, it is accredited by the
American Bar Association (ABA), and is also a member of the
Association of American Law Schools (AALS).
History
On February 5, 1951, Seton Hall University School of Law opened on the old John Marshall site, 40 Journal Square,
Jersey City with an entering class of 72 students, 16 full-time and 56 part-time faculty members.The school was also fully accredited by the
American Bar Association in that same year.

Program
The
J.D. degree program of 88 credits can be pursued as a day student in three years or as a part-time day or evening student in 3.5 (with 2 summers) or 4 years.
