SFX is a British magazine covering the topics of science fiction and fantasy.


It is published every four weeks by Future Publishing According to the magazine's website, the SF stands for "science fiction", but the X may stand for anything.

Matt Bielby was the editor for the first 11 issues. Dave Golder became editor after the 14th issue, leaving the magazine in 2005 but returning as its online editor. Golder was replaced by the current editor-in-chief David Bradley. Other members of staff include deputy editor Richard Edwards, features editor Nick Setchfield and reviews editor Ian Berriman.

Former staff member Jayne Nelson contributes a column, and the magazine has featured a column written by David Langford since issue one. Additional contributors have included Simon Pegg, Mark Millar and Paul Cornell.
