Shahad () is a town in Thāne district in Maharashtra state in India. It is located 60 km from Mumbai.

The term "Shahad" is derived from Urdu word "Shah Had" "Shah" related to Mughals and "Had" means Border, it means Border of Shah's. Kalyan was developed under Mughal empire.
