Shahdara Bagh, is a northern suburb of
Lahore,
Pakistan. It is situated on the northern side of the
Ravi River.
Shahdara means
Shah (King) and
dara means
the way of kings. In the 15th century it was the gate entrance of the Lahore and Mughal Emperor. It is famous for two historic
Mughal architectural sites,
Mughal gardens, and tombs of the Mughal Emperor
Jahangir, his wife Empress
Nur Jehan and his brother-in-law
Abdul Hasan Asaf Khan.
