Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS) is an institute for undergraduate management studies under the University of Delhi, India, providing education in the fields of management and information technology. It is named after Sukhdev Thapar, a prominent freedom fighter during the pre-independence era. The college was established in 1987 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development as the first collegiate business school in India imparting management education at an undergrad level. The college is located near Vivek Vihar in East Delhi and is served by the Blue and Red lines of the Delhi Metro.
In 2009, only 217 students were selected from over 20,000 applicants. This acceptance rate — fewer than 1 of every 90 students — marks SSCBS as one of the most competitive undergraduate colleges in India.
