Sheffield Heeley is a Parliamentary constituency covering south central Sheffield. This seat was created in 1950, largely replacing the former Sheffield Ecclesall constituency, its boundaries being significantly altered in 1955 with the abolition of Sheffield Neepsend. Originally held by the Conservative Party, it changed hands three times between 1966 and 1974, more recently becoming a safe Labour seat. The result of the 2010 General Election saw the Labour majority more than slashed in half from 30%+ to less than 15%. It has been represented by Meg Munn since 2001.
