Shin Ae-ra

Shin Ae-ra (; born March 7, 1969) is a South Korean actress. Since 1995 she has been married to actor Cha In-Pyo and she has one son. She is best known for the television series Bad Housewife, made in 2005 by SBS. She also had been a radio DJ for a long time.

Adoption

She and her husband have received wide popularity and respect from the Korean public by adopting babies. In Korea, adoption is nearly non-existent because of a strong recognition only for children of pure blood. Many children have been exported overseas for adoption.

In 2005 she and her husband Cha In-Pyo adopted a baby girl who was named Ye-eun. The reason for the adoption was to encourage people to adopt children.
